MEXC Futures Calculator: Liquidation Price, Fees and PnL
On MEXC USDT-M perpetual futures, a $10,000 BTC long at 20x from $81,000 sits in the first maintenance-margin tier (MMR 0.100%, up to 500x) and liquidates near $77,031.00, 4.90% below entry, on MEXC's own isolated formula. At the 0.02% base taker fee, opening and closing it costs $4.00.
The calculator below is preset to MEXC's tiers for BTC, ETH and SOL and its base taker fee. Enter entry, leverage and margin to get notional, liquidation price, fees, funding, PnL and ROE for a long or short; the tier, and with it the maintenance margin rate and the leverage cap, follows the size of the position.

How MEXC calculates liquidation
MEXC's isolated long formula is LP = (maintenance margin − position margin + entry × quantity × contract size) ÷ (quantity × contract size), and the short is (entry × quantity × contract size − maintenance margin + position margin) ÷ (quantity × contract size), with maintenance margin = entry × quantity × contract size × MMR. Liquidation is triggered by the Fair Price, not the last traded price.

Worked example: BTC on MEXC
Four BTC positions run through MEXC's formula with the tier that matches each size. The large position lands in a higher tier, so its maintenance margin rate is higher and its leverage is capped at that tier's maximum.
| Position (BTC) | Margin | Tier MMR | MEXC formula | Distance | Calculator above |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Long $10,000 at 20x | $500.00 | 0.100% | $77,031.00 | 4.90% | $77,031.00 |

MEXC maintenance-margin tiers (BTC, ETH, SOL)
Maintenance margin = position value × MMR for the tier the position falls in. Each tier also caps the leverage you can open. MEXC opened 500x on BTCUSDT and ETHUSDT futures in April 2025 (announcement in the sources). It does not apply to copy trading and is not offered in some regions, including Australia, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Italy and the UK, so what your account can open may be lower.

What this calculator leaves out
The liquidation fee MEXC adds in its margin-rate test, auto-margin addition and cross margin. MEXC's 500x cap is not offered in every region (see below); what your account can open may be lower. Risk limits are set in contracts and shown here in the base asset. Funding is entered by hand (positive rates are paid by longs). Numbers are estimates for planning, not MEXC's own figures; your position page on MEXC is the reference.
MEXC futures calculator FAQ
How is the liquidation price calculated on MEXC?
MEXC's isolated long formula is LP = (maintenance margin − position margin + entry × quantity × contract size) ÷ (quantity × contract size), and the short is (entry × quantity × contract size − maintenance margin + position margin) ÷ (quantity × contract size), with maintenance margin = entry × quantity × contract size × MMR. Liquidation is triggered by the Fair Price, not the last traded price. Example: a $10,000 BTC long at 20x from $81,000 has $500.00 of margin, falls in tier 1 (MMR 0.100%) and liquidates near $77,031.00, 4.90% below entry.
What is the maximum leverage on MEXC BTC futures?
The tier snapshot (fetched 2026-10-23 13:15 UTC) gives 500x for BTC_USDT up to 12 BTC (about $972,000 at the example price); larger positions move to higher tiers with lower caps, shown in the tier table. Leverage caps change, so check the MEXC trading rules before you trade.
Which MEXC fee does this calculator use?
It prefills 0.02% per side, the base-tier taker rate for BTC_USDT (maker 0.00%). On a $10,000 position that is $4.00 to open and close with market orders. Change the fee field to your own VIP or maker rate.
Why does MEXC show a different liquidation price from this calculator?
The liquidation fee MEXC adds in its margin-rate test, auto-margin addition and cross margin. MEXC's 500x cap is not offered in every region (see below); what your account can open may be lower. Risk limits are set in contracts and shown here in the base asset. The calculator above also uses the generic formula with the tier MMR; the worked table shows how far that sits from MEXC's own formula. Liquidation is checked against the Fair Price, so the last traded price can pass your liquidation price without closing the position, or the other way round.
